Internal floors to the main house continued and formwork was prepared to get the ground ready for the concrete pour for the garage slab this morning. The concretors have started polishing the slab, ready for a raw honed finish.

Week 6 – Footings, underpinning and new floors

Excavation has continued with piers and footings for the slabs being formed and underpinning of the adjacent terrace – not very exciting visually, but needs to be done! Week 3 – Demolition continues

Not much of the old house left! The rain didn’t slow anything down luckily, the demolished concrete was taken away and inside the fireplaces, chimneys and a few internal walls were taken down. The site should be clear next week to start forming up the new concrete slabs.
